QUEAS-E

(Quality, Uniformity, Education, Attitude and Service in Emergencies)

Welcome to the ED Newsletter QUEAS-E.  This publication is a monthly newsletter from the Quality Improvement section of the Wesley Emergency Department in Wichita, Kansas.  We have implemented a tool dedicated to Quality, Uniformity, Education, Attitude, and Service in Emergencies (QUEAS-E).  With so much of our medical information coming from "positive spins" by corporate and pharmaceutical companies or from a "that's the way I learned it" mentality, the QUEAS-E Update strives to be a source of evidenced-based medicine which tries to balance the ethical playing field and presents the counter or negative argument to many promoted therapies and ideas.

Like most ERs, we cover a wide range of topics but keep the information short, sweet, and practical.  We look to raise eyebrows, and we invite rebuttal.  The goal of all we do is truth for the sake of our patients in a way that is caring.

Thank you,
Mark Mosley, MD
