Every year more than 16,000 surgeries are performed at Wesley, where advanced technology, well- trained physicians and experienced staff provide high-quality care.

Many of Wesley's surgical suites are equipped and designed for specific types of surgery, including eye, neurologic, trauma, orthopedic, and cardiac surgery. A $13.5 million construction project currently underway will add, enlarge, and remodel several operating rooms.

The advanced technology of the da Vinci robotic surgery system can be used for certain types of surgery, providing patients with less postoperative pain, fewer complications and a shorter recovery time.

While most surgeries take place in the Surgery Department, cesarean sections are performed in the Birthrooms and BirthCare Center.
